Buendia was given his senior debut by Getafe in the Copa del Rey in January 2015 against Almeria. He went on to play ten games in all competitions during the 2014/15 campaign.
He made 21 appearances in the following season but he was not a regular starter. The Argentine spent two campaigns as a bench warmer before going on loan for a season to Cultural Leonesa in 2017.
