1) Buendia was born in Argentina but he has never actually played football there
The midfielder came through Real Madrid and Getafe’s youth academy before starting out his professional career in the lower divisions in Spain.
Buendia has also played for Spain at youth level, as well as Argentina, and he qualifies to play for both national teams. He is still yet to receive his first senior international cap.
