Brighton are weighing up a potential offer to sign Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares on loan, according to reports in the English media.
The Seagulls are looking for a replacement for Marc Cucurella who could be sold to Manchester City before the transfer window closes next month.
Tavares is unlikely to get much game time this season, especially after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko, and fans on Twitter believe the 22-year-old would benefit from a move to Brighton:
This would be GREAT business I must say

Good move…Graham Potter is an amazing coach and will help nurture Tavarez to the next level. Like he did with Cucurella

The Portuguese fullback’s erratic performances during his first year with the Gunners were the cause of much debate, and manager Mikel Arteta was forced to substitute him early in games after some poor displays.
It’s fair to say that Tavares is a raw talent but he could certainly learn a thing or two under the guidance of Seagulls boss Graham Potter, who has helped a number of young players to thrive. We shall see if an approach from the south coast club does transpire.
