“They Will Win The Match…” Gary Neville Makes Arsenal Claim Ahead Of Titanic Clash Against City

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Arsenal can beat Manchester City if they play with courage and conviction on Wednesday night.

Neville remains unconvinced that the reigning champions are back to their best and he feels that, if Mikel Arteta’s side raise their game, they can secure a vital victory at the Emirates:

“People will think City are hunting Arsenal down but Arsenal can damage City too because if they play to the levels they can play, they will win the match, because City are not at their level yet.”

“If they don’t and they lack courage and conviction – which can happen with teams that haven’t won titles – Man City will go for it. It’s a really interesting game but we need to remember there’s still a long way to go in the Premier League title race after.”

Considering the Gunners have been in pretty poor form, it is somewhat surprising to hear Neville being so bullish about their prospects of getting a result against City.

The defeat to Pep Guardiola’s team in the FA Cup, followed up by a defeat to Everton and a draw versus Brentford in the league, has led to some doubts creeping in about Arsenal‘s chances of winning the title.

As Neville says, though, Wednesday evening’s game will be all about mentality. If Arteta’s men approach the fixture in the right way and, with the crowd behind them, they can secure the three points and regain the momentum they need.
