PSG Set To Turn Their Attention To Arsenal Target After Ozil Rejection

Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to sign James Rodriguez in a bid to replace the injured Neymar, according to reports in Germany.

The Ligue One side are believed to have approached Arsenal about signing Mesut Ozil but the playmaker is said to have rejected their advances as he doesn’t want to leave the Gunners on loan.

Rodriguez, who has also been linked with a move to the Emirates this month, is currently 18 months into a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich.

The Colombian international is being eyed to help strengthen PSG’s squad with Neymar having been ruled out for ten weeks with a broken metatarsal.

The Brazilian will miss the Champions League tie against Manchester United and the French team are looking for more attacking options before the transfer window shuts.

Whether Rodriguez departs Bayern, it is not known, but what seems clear is that Ozil will be staying at Arsenal this month.

Inter Milan are also said to be keen, with a swap deal with Ivan Perisic having been suggested, but it seems the Nerazzurri cannot afford the German’s wages.
