Arsenal Open Talks With Inter Milan About Signing Croatian World Cup Star On Loan

Arsenal have opened talks with Inter Milan about signing Ivan Perisic on loan, according to reports in the UK.

There were claims in the Italian media earlier this week that the Gunners were looking at the Croatian World Cup star, and it appears they have stepped up their interest.

Inter are keen to offload Perisic in order to fund their own transfer spending, but it remains to be seen if they will accept Arsenal’s proposal.

The Nerazzurri are demanding €40m (£35m) for the 29-year-old, but the London club are seeking a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Perisic has previously been a target for Manchester United, while Bayern Munich could also enter the race for the winger.

The Croatian international is still a regular first-team player under Inter manager Luciano Spalletti. He has made 25 appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring three goals and contributing five assists.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has publicly stated that they are looking to sign a winger and Perisic would certainly fit the bill.
