Arsenal are set to tie down Gabriel Martinelli to a new contract, according to journalist Steve Kay.
The 21-year-old has been in talks over an extension and Kay claims that the player has already “signed” a new deal worth £180,000 a week for the next five years, with an announcement set to come as early as “next week”:

Kay isn’t exactly a well known reporter so we shall see how accurate he is with this story, but the feeling is that Martinelli will soon commit his future to the club.
The likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with the Brazilian international in recent weeks but the winger is said to be happy in London and he is willing to remain for the long term.
If Martinelli’s new contract is confirmed, it would be a huge boost for manager Mikel Arteta, who has started him regularly over the last twelve months.
