Ben Jacobs Reveals Arsenal Are “Scouting” Defender Who Made It Into The Bundesliga’s Team of The Season

Arsenal have been “scouting” Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka ahead of a potential approach for the Frenchman, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.

It was revealed last week that the Gunners were interested in the centre-back, and Jacobs says the club’s recruitment staff have been keeping a close eye on him:

“Arsenal like the player. They’ve certainly done their legwork and their due diligence and their scouting on him. There’s a lot of interest in the player, not just from the Premier League but from all across Europe as well.”

As Jacobs mentions, there are plenty of other teams who are interested in Ndicka. The likes of Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Leeds, West Ham, Sevilla and Juventus have all been linked with the player in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old made it into the Bundesliga’s Team of the Season for his performances last campaign and, with his contract set to expire in June, it makes him a very attractive target.

It has been suggested that Frankfurt may look to offload Ndicka in January, to prevent him from leaving for nothing next summer, so we shall see whether Arsenal make a move for the centre-half in the New Year.
