Arsenal have been making enquiries about Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, according to journalist Mirko Di Natale.
The Italian reporter, who usually specialises in stories related to Juventus, claims that the Gunners, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle have “requested information” on the player:
ESCL.#AFC, #CFC, #MUFC, #MCFC, #NUFC sono i club di Premier League che hanno chiesto informazioni per Heorhij #Sudakov (21). La sua clausola è di oltre 100mln €. pic.twitter.com/Br7qaO0zAL

Sudakov is an emerging talent. He has been capped 12 caps by Ukraine, despite still only being 21 years of age.
However, it must be pointed out that his record for Shakhtar this season is pretty unremarkable, having scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 24 appearances.
The Arsenal target has a hefty release clause
Di Natale claims that the playmaker’s buyout fee stands at a pricey €100m (£85m), which is a figure that Arsenal and others may baulk at paying, considering he is still unproven at the highest level.
The position that Sudakov plays also means it is highly unlikely that he would be a top summer target for the Gunners. He prefers to play as a No.10, and manager Mikel Arteta already has Martin Odegaard for that role.
Sudakov is a top talent according to one of his former coaches
Many scouts who have seen the Ukrainian international play firmly believe that he can go right to the top. His former youth coach at Shakhtar, Fernando Valente, was effusive in his praise of the midfielder when speaking about him a couple of years ago:
“Sudakov was the most talented player I ever coached. Sudakov is a lad with enormous potential, he could even play for Barcelona or Manchester City. He was the best player I coached and we have a strong relationship.”
It remains to be seen if he can realise his potential but it is unrealistic at the moment to see him playing at the Emirates.
