Arsenal are one of “five top clubs” that Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich would consider joining this summer, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The journalist claims the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United do not interest the German international but he would consider the Gunners, along with Liverpool and Manchester City.
Fans on X are split on whether Arsenal should consider pursuing Kimmich at the end of the season:

Too old, hes 29. We already have a 32 year old and a 30 year old in midfield. We need a younger more athletic midfielder

He’d be a very good addition, I’m not a fan of him at full back, but I do like his ability in midfield.
Just unsure what role he fits into in this current set-up.

Arsenal will be targeting a holding midfielder
The Gunners are expected to be in the market for a new No. 6. There is a belief that Thomas Partey will be sold with just a year left on his contract, while there is also uncertainty over the future of Jorginho.
With that being the case, recruiting someone like Kimmich, who is expected to be sold for a knockdown price, could be considered:
Kimmich is not the only player being targeted
The Gunners have been keeping close tabs on Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi for the best part of 18 months and it has been reported that the Spaniard could be the London club’s top midfield target for the summer.
However, with Zubimendi unlikely to be sold for below his €60m (£51m) release clause, Kimmich could actually turn out to be the cheaper option, with the German’s contract expiring next year.
