Sky Reporter Reveals Club “Will Listen To A Cash-Plus-Player Offer” For £50M Striker Who “Arteta Is A Fan Of”

Juventus would accept a “cash-plus-player offer” for Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic, according to Sky Sports journalist Gary Cotterill.

The Serbian international previously snubbed a move to the Emirates but Cotterill says Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is still an admirer of the player’s talents:

“Not Ivan Toney because I don’t think Brentford will sell him in January. Another player though we know Mikel Arteta is a fan of is Dusan Vlahovic. Juventus wanted £50m, but that was too steep for Arsenal, but Juventus have financial problems.”

“They would listen to a cash-plus-player offer and there are also these tax rules in Italy which is something for them to consider.”

Who could Arsenal offer in exchange for Vlahovic?

There are two players that Juve would likely be open to taking as part of a swap deal. Thomas Partey has been on the Bianconeri’s radar for quite some time so offering the Ghanaian could be considered.

Charlie Patino is another option. At the weekend, it was reported that the Serie A side are weighing up whether to make a move for the midfielder this month.

Vlahovic does have other suitors

There was speculation in the summer that the forward could be involved in another swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku. At the time, though, Chelsea were not interested in the deal, as they would have had to pay £34m, in addition to giving away their striker.

However, if Cotterill’s reporting is accurate, and Juventus have now lowered their demands, it may lead to the Blues reviving their interest in Vlahovic.

Like Arsenal, Chelsea have considered bids for Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres but all three are likely to be too expensive to buy in January.

It means both London clubs could end up fighting it out over Vlahovic if he is available for a reasonable price.
