Arsenal are interested in signing FC Midtjylland winger Gustav Isaksen, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 21-year-old has been catching the eye with his performances both domestically and in Europe so far this season. He has scored four goals in the Danish Superligaen but he has been even more impressive in the Europa League where he has hit the back of the net three times in five group matches.

Unsurprisingly, Isaksen’s form is also attracting attention from other teams. Serie A champions AC Milan are keeping close tabs on the player, while Newcastle and West Ham are monitoring him as well.

Midtjylland are not likely to let the Danish Under 21 international leave on the cheap, with it being suggested that they could demand as much as €20m (£17m).

Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to be in the market for a winger when the January transfer window opens, with the London club having recently been linked with the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk and Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino.
