Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus celebrated the end of his goal drought on Saturday, as Arsenal comprehensively defeated Leeds United by a score of 4-1.
In the post, Jesus is seen celebrating after scoring his first goal for Arsenal in the Premier League since October 1st. He went on to score another in the same game, putting in a heroic display as he led the line.
For the post’s caption, Jesus wrote: “Very happy for the day I have lived today. After a lot of hard work and perseverance on the rehab, here we are again. Let’s go, gunners!”
Currently, Jesus’ post has over 310,000 likes on Instagram. Among those who have liked the post include Rob Holding, Eddie Nketiah Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. Additionally, a few of Jesus’ Gunners teammates left a comment on the post, including Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.
In the game against Leeds, the former Manchester City striker was a standout performer. He was a constant threat, making intelligent runs in behind the Whites’ defence.
As well as Jesus’ two goals, Ben White and Granit Xhaka also found themselves on the scoresheet. Leeds’ solitary goal was scored by Rasmus Kristensen – by then, the game was dead and buried.
