Gary Neville Claims There Is Now Just ONE GAME That Will Decide Whether Arsenal Will Become Champions

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Arsenal will win the title if they secure the three points against Liverpool this weekend.

While the Gunners still have to face title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad later this month, Neville feels that Mikel Arteta’s side will finish top if they come away with a victory at Anfield on Sunday:

“I’m not going to put everything on the Liverpool game, but our manager [Sir Alex Ferguson] used to say if you won at Anfield at this time of year you would win the league. Quite often that proved to be the case. If Arsenal go to Anfield and win, I would say definitely it would be their title.”

Considering that, up until now, Neville was adamant that City would chase down Arsenal and become champions, he is now backtracking massively.

Ahead of the Liverpool clash, Neville still sees it as “50/50” as to who lifts the Premier League title, but it seems he is now putting a lot of emphasis on Arsenal’s next fixture.

The last time the Gunners won at Anfield was over a decade ago, but they will be facing the Reds at a good time. They have just lost 4-1 to City and, while they could secure a result against Chelsea in their midweek fixture, they are by no means firing on all cylinders.
