Their xG from the game was 1.61 but they failed to find the back of the net as they continued a concerning trend that Arteta will want to put right as soon as possible.

It was a performance that should have seen them through to the next round of the cup. As it is, they will need to lick their wounds ahead of the next fixture against Crystal Palace later this month.
