Huge Compensation Payment Leaves Arsenal Considering Seismic Changes At The Club

Liverpool have paid the compensation fee required to make Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta their next manager.

In a move that has shocked the football world, and left the Gunners reeling, it is expected that Arteta will replace Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout at the end of the season.

The Spaniard has had a massive impact on Arsenal since being appointed by the London club in December 2019, having won three trophies, including the FA Cup in 2020.

He has spearheaded the Gunners’ title challenge this season but this decision could have huge consequences both in the short term and the long term.

Why has Arteta joined Liverpool?

The 42-year-old has never won a game at Anfield as a player or manager (with the exception of a Carabao Cup tie win on penalties) and he wants to put that right.

In the Amazon documentary ‘All or Nothing’, Arteta was seen going to great lengths to get his first victory at the ground, even installing speakers at Arsenal’s training ground which simulated sounds from the Anfield crowd.

When that didn’t work, the Spaniard decided that the only solution left was to become Liverpool manager, ending his four-and-a-half-year stint at the Emirates.

Who could replace Arteta at Arsenal?

It is believed that the London club’s board are seriously contemplating bringing back Arsene Wenger in order to steady the ship.

Although the Frenchman is now 74 years of age, the Gunners are hoping that he can recapture the magic he showed early in his first spell at the club, but they will be satisfied if he can guide the team to Champions League qualification.

This appointment will take place soon, or perhaps not at all. As you may have gathered, this is an April Fool’s story. Have a good day and don’t believe everything you read on the internet!
