UEFA have banned Bayern Munich fans from attending the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal next month.
The decision was made after supporters of the Bundesliga champions launched fireworks onto the pitch during their 3-0 win over Lazio in the last round.
Arsenal can fill the vacant seats so there are expected to be 60,000 supporting the home team when the two sides meet at the Emirates. Fans on X believe it could be a major advantage for the Gunners:
this is a very big advantage. We really have to be ruthless at home

Huge advantage. We need to smash them by 3-4 goals. End the tie in the first leg.

Arteta’s side need a lead to take with them to Germany
Usually in European ties, you want to play the away leg first, but the lack of Bayern supporters at the Emirates will help create a febrile atmosphere that should help Arsenal secure a victory.
If they can build some momentum and take a significant lead going into the game at the Allianz Arena, it will give Arteta’s men the best chance of qualifying for the semi-final.
Who will Arsenal face if they beat Bayern?
It’s probably wise not to look too far ahead but a win over two legs versus the German giants will set up a game versus either Manchester City or Real Madrid.
There are no easy games in the Champions League but the Gunners do have a particularly tough route to the final.
