Arsenal Join PL Rivals In Plotting Raid On City For 19 Year Old Midfielder

Arsenal are interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Kian Breckin, according to The Sun.

The Gunners have joined Chelsea, Liverpool and Southampton in scouting the 19-year-old, who has impressed playing for City’s Under 21s this season.

Breckin has scored seven goals and contributed four assists in 25 appearances in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy but his future at the Premier League champions is in doubt.

The Citizens would like to keep him but his contract at the Etihad expires this summer and he will be free to leave for a Premier League rival if he so wishes.

A lot will depend on who Breckin believes can give him the clearest route to first team football. Southampton have a strong track record of giving City players a chance, having recruited the likes of Gavin Bazunu, Juan Larios, Romeo Lavia and Samuel Edozie from the Manchester club over the past year. Whether Arsenal could offer the player something the Saints can’t, we shall have to wait and see.
