Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu was back on the substitutes bench against Porto on Tuesday night.
The Japanese international has not featured since returning from the Asian Cup, having picked up a calf injury shortly after arriving back in England.
Tomiyasu has subsequently missed six games but he was in the matchday squad versus Porto, even if he didn’t get on the pitch at the Emirates during the 120 minutes.
After this weekend, he will go away with his country again for two World Cup qualifiers. It will be hoped that he returns unscathed after the international break.
