Saka has had a phenomenal start to the season
We haven’t even reached the middle of October yet but the England international has already racked up 10 goal involvements in all competitions.
Considering that Saka reached 26 goals and assists last campaign, there is a decent chance that he can surpass that total if he continues on the same trajectory.
The Arsenal star’s fitness is a concern
Manager Mikel Arteta played some mind games in the buildup to the Manchester City game, stating that Saka would be “in contention” to play.
The winger didn’t even make the matchday squad for the 1-0 win at the weekend and he appears to be in the race against time to be fit for the clash versus Chelsea after the international break.
Saka has been put on an individual fitness programme to give him the best chance of playing in the London derby but we will find out more about his fitness nearer to the match on Saturday week.
