It wasn’t straightforward but Arsenal managed to overcome a stubborn Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The away side were very disciplined and they didn’t allow the Gunners to play the free-flowing football we have seen from them in recent games.

However, Mikel Arteta’s men were persistent and, while they ultimately needed penalties to progress to the quarter-finals, the victory was more than deserved.
