Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both keeping tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter, according to reports in the UK.
The London clubs are said to be considering the 25-year-old as a possible defensive reinforcement in the summer.
Fans on Twitter are not sure Ginter would be an improvement on what they already have:
He would be a good acquisition and a statement of intent.

We watched before he joined monchengladbach, we probably would have got him a lot cheaper if we acted quicker before. I’m not saying he’s not any good though, we’ve got to improve on what we currently have ASAP

Really think we shouldn’t be looking at defenders who play in the Germany league I have noticed defenders who plays in the Dutch league does better in the Prem.

Ginter was sold by Borussia Dortmund for €17m in 2017 just three years after signing the player from Freiburg.
He has, however, improved as a player since arriving at Gladbach and has gone on to accrue 23 senior caps for Germany,
The defender can play either as a centre-back or as a right-back, but at club level, he has been mostly used in the centre of defence.
With Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny now 33 years of age and Rob Holding out with a long term knee injury, a move for another centre-half in the summer looks to be a certainty.
Considering the club have conceded 36 goals in 25 league games this campaign, it was a surprise that the club didn’t look to strengthen at the back during the January transfer window.
