Arsenal are one of four teams that are tracking Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara, according to reports in Italy.
The Gunners are said to be eyeing a summer move for the 19-year-old with the player interesting Chelsea as well as AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
Kamara has established himself in the first-team at Marseille, with the teenager having made 23 appearances under manager Rudi Garcia so far this campaign.
The France Under 20 international usually plays as a centre-half but he is also capable of playing on the left-hand side of defence or in midfield.
Kamara’s versatility would certainly make him a useful addition to Unai Emery’s squad, especially if Nacho Monreal is not offered a new contract.
The Spaniard’s current deal expires in the summer and he has been used both as a left-back and a centre-back during his five and a half years at the Emirates.
There had been reports last month that Arsenal had activated an option to extend Monreal’s contract for a further year but that hasn’t been officially confirmed by the club.
