Wilshere Joins Arsenal’s Injury List

England’s game against Denmark did not end well for Arsenal fans, who had to see one of the Gunners’ most important players waving his hands because of the pain that came with Agger’s ruthless tackle. According to Yahoo! Eurosport, the 22 year old who continued playing up until the 59th minute, suffered a fracture which was later detected by Arsenal’s physicians.

Scans show a fracture which will need about six weeks to heal completely. Wilshere’s crocked left foot will prevent him from performing during the whole month of March which is really unfortunate for Wenger.

During the next few weeks Arsenal will have to face Everton, Bayern, Tottenham, Chelsea and City who are all decisive in some way when it comes to the way this season will turn out for the Gunners. Unfortunately Wilshere will return when the Emirates side will have already dealt with the hardest matches of 2014.

Picking up this injury comes as a double blow for Wilshere who is expected to return on the 19th of April against Hull if his recovery goes as planned. Roy Hodgson will finalize his squad for Brazil just a month after the English international will be able to appear again for Arsenal. That gives the midfielder little time to prove he is capable of representing his country this summer.
