Wenger Won’t Give Up On The Title

According to the Daily Mail, Arsene Wenger has refused to give up on the Barclays Premier League title race despite this past weekend’s most unfortunate away defeat at the hands of Stoke City.

The Gunners could not produce the final product after yet another passing display. Stoke are a tough side to defeat at the Britannia Stadium, but Wenger’s squad needed to get a win to stay in title contention. With Chelsea and Liverpool both winning comfortably, and Manchester City with a game in hand, this defeat puts extra pressure on Arsenal. However, Wenger is refusing to panic, and wants to focus on the team’s performance rather than assessing rival results.

Arsenal next face Everton in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup in the coming week, and will look to win that game to ensure they have another chance of winning a trophy this season. With their UEFA Champions League chances looking bleak after the first leg defeat, Wenger will want the title race to go right down to the wire while hoping he can also take the Gunners to a domestic Cup final.
