Arsene Wenger has confirmed the fact that Kallstrom has no future with Arsenal. With his loan deal set to expire in a few weeks the Daily Mail are reporting that the midfielder will return to Spartak after making only 4 appearances for the Gunners. Kallstrom, who started his loan with an injury, has been of little use for Arsenal since January.

Wenger tried to return Kallstrom to Moscow right after signing the deal. Apparently the 31 year old came to London with a disc injury which become aggravated after his first training session with the Gunners.

The back injury kept him off the pitch for quite a long time. He only just returned to play a few games before the end of the season and his most significant contribution was scoring a penalty in the FA Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out win over Wigan.. There is no doubt he will not be staying after his minimal experience at the Emirates and Wenger surely could have done a better job at finding a midfielder to help the team.
