Walcott Back After 10 Month Injury

Walcott Back After 10 Month Injury

Walcott finally returned to the pitch after being sidelined for 10 whole months. The English international who started last season with a bang has had to stay off the pitch for almost a year after a knee problem which persisted throughout 2014. Fortunately he returned and he is ready to win some trophies next to newcomers Alexis Sanchez and Welbeck who will be joining him in the attack this season. According to the Daily Mail, Wenger is still a bit worried though as Walcott could already be called to represent England in the Euro qualifiers. When asked about his player, the Frenchman admitted that he is not 100% confident that respecting international duties is a good thing for the 25 year old.

Even though completely recovered, Walcott was still out for 10 months. It will take him at least until the end of the year to get in shape so as to perform on a regular basis and at the highest level possible. In the game against Anderlecht, Wenger did not use Walcott. His late appearance against Burnley had some impact on the game but nothing too noticeable.

Walcott will have a hard time becoming part of the first eleven though now that Sanchez has proven he is more than capable of handling the Premier League. Even though the two have a similar profile, one of them will surely be played out of position.
