Viviano To Exit Emirates Stadium

Viviano To Exit Emirates Stadium

Italian goalkeeper, Emiliano Viviano is set to move back to Italy after failing to catch a break while on loan with Arsenal. The 28 year old who had spent all of his career in Serie A has made absolutely no impression on Wenger who is no longer interested in his services. Despite making 6 appearances for his country, Viviano was barely an option to consider. Since he started his senior career he only managed to make just over 250 appearances which is a very poor record considering he made his debut back in 2004.

Viviano who moved to Arsenal in September has no chance of signing a new loan deal with Arsenal who were just recently linked to former Manchester City goalkeeper, Costel Pantelimon. Add to that the fact that the Gunners have had players like Reina or Casillas on their wish-list even since last summer and you will understand why Viviano is better off returning to Italy. According to talkSPORT, the 28 year old could move to Sampdoria after Palermo seem determined to part ways with the Italian goalkeeper.

Arsenal still have the first option to make a move on Viviano as stipulated in his loan contract. It is very unlikely though that Wenger will choose to activate that clause even with Fabianski ready to leave.
