Vieira Claims Daniel Ek Has Made Key Decision On Whether He’ll Make Another Offer For Arsenal

Patrick Vieira believes Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek is lining up a second bid for Arsenal, despite having his first offer knocked back by the Kroenke family.

The Swedish billionaire confirmed earlier this month that he had made a formal takeover proposal for the Gunners, and despite it being rejected, Vieira claims Ek is ready to make another attempt:

“He’s definitely going to try again. And obviously, if the club is not for sale there is nothing that he can do. But he’s going to be there and he’s going to wait, and he wants to buy the club. I think it will be really important because Arsenal is in a critical moment. For me, it is the right time for him to do his maximum, or to do what is possible to buy the club.”

Vieira is part of the consortium fronted by Ek, with fellow Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp also on board with the plan.

The Kroenke’s have shown no sign so far that they are willing to sell the club, and so it is likely that a second offer from Ek will also be turned down.

Even so, it does appear that the billionaire is in it for the long haul and he won’t simply give up on the prospect of a takeover. This story is, therefore, likely to run and run.
