“Unplayable…” Wilshere Claims Arsenal May Have Found The Next Bukayo Saka And Arteta Is A Big Fan

Arsenal Under 18 Head Coach Jack Wilshere has been singing the praises of winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.

The 17-year-old has been a standout performer for Wilshere’s team this season and he says he can see similarities between him and Bukayo Saka:

“Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him. He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting. In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance.”

As Wilshere mentions, it seems that manager Mikel Arteta is also keeping close tabs on Cozier-Duberry, which is not surprising considering some of the displays he has been putting in.

The England Under 19 international has impressed for the Gunners in the FA Youth Cup, having racked up five goals in four appearances, but he has also made his mark for the Under 21s.

Playing against senior teams in the FA Trophy, Cozier-Duberry scored twice and provided an assist in only two games, demonstrating that he could well make the step up to first-team level.

Arteta has named him on the bench on five separate occasions so far this season, but the teenager has yet to get on the pitch. You do feel, though, that it is only a matter of time before he makes his debut.
