The 27-year-old Arda Turan has been one of the key players for Atletico this season, with Los Rojiblancos surprisingly topping the La Liga table ahead of Real Madrid’s home match against Levante on Sunday night which they did end up losing after Real won.

Arsenal have been linked with the tricky player in the summer as Wenger looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2014-15 season. And it has now been revealed by Turan’s agent that the Turkey international would like to work with Wenger at Arsenal.

However, the agent also said that his client’s future currently lies in Spain. This could also be a deceptive game played by the agent as Atletico would be furious if a player’s agent revealed his client wanted to play elsewhere at such a crucial juncture of the season.

According to Metro, the agent said, “Arda is interested in working under Arsene Wenger and he would like to play in England. Arda will not leave Atletico. They are part of the title race and he is a key player. Arda plays for a big club and he will be part of Atletico’s success.”

He added, “We have received offers from English clubs. However, for now I would like to insist once more that Arda renewed his contract recently and wants to stay at Atletico.”

So it really is hard to say then, does the Turkey international want to come to the Premier League or not?
