Arsenal may consider using Eddie Nketiah in a part-exchange offer for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to reports in the UK.
The Seagulls are thought to be fans of Nketiah, and the Gunners could use the former England Under 21 international to lower the amount they would need to pay for Bissouma.
At the moment, it is believed that Brighton may demand between £30m and £40m for their midfielder, and fans on Twitter think using Nketiah as part of the deal would be a smart decision:
This would be good business

A win-win for both clubs. Eddie Nketiah is a good player but he is slow and virtually useless outside the 6 yards box. He couldn’t succeed at Arsenal because he couldn’t be fed good passes by defence oriented midfielders at Arsenal.

This would be great business. Got nothing against Eddie, he’s just not at the level we need to try and compete for top 4 next season. Bissouma would be another great option in midfield to complement Partey. I really hope this happens?

With Nketiah closing in on the final year of his contract, it would be wise to move him on, especially if it helps the club bring in a key transfer target. Bissouma is also believed to be on Liverpool and Manchester City’s radar so, if it means they can get the deal over the line quicker, it could prove to be a good idea.
The Gunners do also have plenty of other strikers, with Folarin Balogun ready to step up if called upon, so offloading Nketiah in such a way shouldn’t have any detrimental impact on the balance of the squad.
