Thierry Henry’s Premier League 1-11 For The Season So Far

Arsenal have had a good year up until now and could end the season on top of the Premier League with just a little bit of luck. Leicester who are 2 points ahead have to face Liverpool and City by the end of December while Arsenal face Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle, who despite managed some good results, have few chances of beating the Gunners given their current form. Wenger’s side deserve to move to the top as their overall performances have separated them from the other teams. Arsenal are the only ones who defeated Leicester and they did so in style on their adversary’s home ground. The Premier League leaders have not conceded 5 goals this season from anyone else other than the Gunners who really look great this year. Everyone noticed the two teams are in the best from so most sports included names from both sides in this season’s ideal eleven. According to the Daily Express, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry recently revealed who are his favorites this year, with 6 Gunners making the list. Surprisingly the top pick for the goalkeeper spot was not Petr Cech who most say, is the main reason for Arsenal’s growth in terms of stability.

Henry picked Stoke City’s Jack Butland as the number one keeper to defend the all-star team’s goal. The 22-year-old stood out this season and managed to keep the received goal average to a rather decent approximate 1 goal per match ratio.

The defense is dominated by Arsenal players and has only one “intruder” – Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld who took Mertesacker’s place. If this list would have been made after Arsenal’s game against City, it would have probably been all Gunners on the back line. As expected, Bellerin and Monreal on the sides and Koscielny as a center back – that is the line-up.

The midfield starts with Leicester’s N’Golo Kante and continues with Cazorla, Riyad Mahrez and Mesut Ozil. It is very possible that by the end of the year Kante will be replaced by Ramsey if he keeps up his current form.

Up front Henry picked Sanchez and of course Vardy who is probably everyone’s pick for a striker position. The 28-year-old who scored 15 times in 18 games this season is in amazing form just as Sanchez was before picking up a hamstring injury.

So this is Thierry Henry’s top 11 up until now. What are your top picks for the Premier League after looking back at what happened in the first half of the season?
