‘There Are Signs…’ Report Claims Arsenal Are Seriously Considering Approach For 105M Rated Playmaker

Arsenal are one of three clubs who are weighing up a potential move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim “there are signs” that the Gunners are targeting the Serbian international ahead of the January transfer window, while there is also interest in the player from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has already responded to reports linking Milinkovic-Savic with a switch to Juve. He stated that he would only let the midfielder leave for around €120m (£105m). That figure is likely to be bluster, considering the 27-year-old will only have twelve months left on his contract at the end of the season.

Whether Arsenal are seriously contemplating a bid for the playmaker, we shall have to wait and see. His agent, Mateja Kezman, did reveal back in August that Mikel Arteta’s side and Newcastle were keen on signing the Serbian, but the player wasn’t interested in moving to the Emirates.

Considering the Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table, there is a strong chance that Milinkovic-Savic has changed his tune about a move to London.
