A decision to go after a new no.10 will largely be dependent on what happens with Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian has shown flashes of inspiration since arriving on loan from Real Madrid, but not enough to justify the fee that would be required to sign him on a permanent basis.
Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt, who was also considered back in January, is still on the Gunners’ radar, while another option could well be Real Betis’s Nabil Fekir if Dortmund are unwilling to part ways with their player.
