Arsenal’s medical staff are hopeful that Bukayo Saka has not suffered a serious injury after being substituted in the 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, according to reports.
The 21-year-old was forced off midway through the first half after picking up a serious knock to his ankle but he did leave the Emirates without needing a protective boot.
A more definitive diagnosis is expected in the next day or two but, for the time being, supporters on Twitter are encouraged by the news about Saka:
That's what I want to hear

Unreal if true, he looked really hurt tbh… And we're usually not this lucky with injuries as well

Fingers crossed. Perhaps have him on the bench and not push it? Then he’s there if we need him, but he might be thankful of a rest!

There is no chance that he will face FC Zurich in the Europa League on Thursday night and you would have to say that, even if the injury doesn’t turn out to be serious, he would still be a major doubt to play Chelsea this weekend.
Reiss Nelson came on to replace Saka versus Forest, and he stepped up to the plate by getting a brace, so it’s good to know that, if Saka is sidelined for a spell, there is someone who can come in and do a job.
