Should Arsenal Sell Giroud & Buy New Striker?

Giroud has had a decent season in front of goal so far, having notched up 15 goals in 34 appearances. Although 15 goals is a decent return, the forward has failed to shine in big matches and has also received flak for his off-the-pitch discretions.

Wenger rates his fellow Frenchman highly and is reportedly unwilling to let the 27-year-old leave the Emirates after just two seasons. However, if a foreign club comes and makes a big offer for Giroud, Wenger just might be tempted to sell the striker, especially since he is targeting a couple of prolific goal scorers for the 2014-15 season.

According to the Daily Mail, current La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid are interested in Giroud as the club eye a replacement for Chelsea-bound Diego Costa. The Brazil-born striker has had a superlative season so far but he is continually linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the off-season.

The Spanish club believe Giroud can fill the void left behind by Costa’s departure. With Arsenal linked with a move for Mario Mandzukic and Karim Benzema, Wenger may have to sell before he can buy.

Do you think Wenger should sell Giroud and replace him with a new goal scorer?
