Serie A Heavyweights Step In To Hijack Arsenal’s Deal For Spanish International Following Sanllehi Exit

AC Milan will look to hijack Arsenal’s attempts to re-sign Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Former Head of Football Raul Sanllehi was the man leading negotiations for the Spanish international but his departure has prompted the Rossoneri to make their own loan offer.

The Gunners have now put chief executive Vinai Venkatesham in charge of talks for Ceballos but his lack of familiarity with football transfers may put the club at a disadvantage in negotiations.

Head coach Mikel Arteta has publicly stated that he wants the 24-year-old to return to the Emirates after the player became a regular starter in the closing months of the season.

However, the involvement of Milan will certainly complicate matters and it will be hoped that Ceballos’s interest in returning to Arsenal will be strong enough in order to get the deal over the line in the coming weeks.
