Sanchez Snubbed Liverpool Transfer To Join Arsenal

Liverpool missed a great opportunity to sign one of the most impressive players of the season. Alexis Sanchez chose Arsenal over Liverpool who apparently offered more money for the Chilean but were turned down by the player. Luckily for the Gunners, Sanchez really wanted to work with Wenger and went as far as to beg Barcelona to not sell him to Liverpool. Even though beg is a strong word for a player as determined as Sanchez, rumors make it clear that he was sort of set on only joining Arsenal. Fortunately for the Gunners, Barcelona wanted to keep a good relation with Wenger who provided some great players over the years. According to Metro, the two clubs are much closer than Liverpool is with the Catalans, thus the choice to sell Sanchez for less money.

The 25 year old Chilean who is now probably Arsenal’s best player, has had a massive impact on the team. His desire to play for this club is obvious and has been so from the start. He looks like he is giving it all he’s got with each and every game which is nothing short of amazing from someone who came from such a completely different Championship. Wenger has made the right choice to spend big money on Sanchez who has not disappointed.

Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers admitted to have been interested in Sanchez but also admitted Sanchez was not a priority. It was a fortunate turn of events for Arsenal who could have ended up with Balotelli who up until now has not managed to score much for Liverpool except for 2 Capital One Cup goals.
