Let’s make no bones about it, White did not have a great debut. He struggled aerially against Ivan Toney and it is clear that he was targeted by Brentford.
Pablo Mari should have been the senior partner but the Spaniard was all over the place, and that certainly didn’t help White. Much more, though, is expected of the £50m signing.
