Sagna who is one of the most experienced players Arsenal have at their disposal, seems interested in leaving the club. According to the Daily Star, the right-back will be joining City after his contract with the Gunners will expire at the end of this season. Wenger is not willing to offer Sagna a contract longer than one year for the 31 year old.

Arsenal’s defender is also disappointed in the way the club has been treating him for the past year or so. He even went so far as to call the club management’s behavior as disrespectful. After spending 7 years at the Emirates, Sagna turned down a serious offer coming from Milan. Inter offered him a two year deal with a £120,000 per month increase in his salary. Even so, the French international refused to move to Serie A. Apparently he is not keen on leaving the Premier League especially with Inter more than likely to miss next year’s Champions League.

Sagna could follow in his former colleague’s footsteps, as City look interested in securing his services. The Gunner might be reunited with Nasri and Clichy who also left the Emirates a few years back. It is very likely that the 31 year old will move to Manchester for free as negotiations with Wenger seem to have hit a rough patch. Despite the fact that Arsenal’s boss insisted Sagna is going to continue with the Gunners, it seems Jenkinson will be next year’s first choice for the right-back position.
