Romano Makes Big Claim About Kieran Tierney’s Future Following Newcastle Transfer Links

Arsenal fullback Kieran Tierney will consider his future at the end of the season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Newcastle have been linked with the Scottish international in recent days but Romano says there have been no talks about a potential exit:

“Tierney will decide his future at the end of the season, also Nuno Tavares on loan is another factor to consider. Arsenal want him to be 100% focused on the second part of the season, they’re not in talks with any club now.”

Tierney has struggled for game time this season, having started just four matches in the Premier League, with the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City having limited his playing opportunities.

The 25-year-old joined the club from Celtic for £25m in 2019, and while he has been the club’s first-choice left-back for most of the period he has spent at the Emirates, injuries have meant he hasn’t featured as much as he would have liked.

Ironically, Tierney has not missed a minute this campaign due to fitness problems but the fact that he is now behind Zinchenko in the pecking order means he is likely to be contemplating a departure this summer.
