REPORT: Arsenal Set To ‘Offer’ 170K A Week Contract As They Target Free Transfer Swoop For World Cup Finalist

Arsenal are “ready” to “offer” Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot a contract worth in excess of €10m a season (approximately £170,000 a week), according to Tutto Juve.

The Italian website claims the Gunners have made the 27-year-old a target, with the player set to leave Italy on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires.

Rabiot’s reputation has improved since he played an important role in helping France reach the World Cup final last year, and he is expected to have plenty of other suitors.

Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham, have also been linked with the midfielder in recent months but it appears Arsenal are the ones who are keenest on securing his signature at the moment.

Tutto Juve claim manager Mikel Arteta has put Rabiot’s name “on the table” as the Gunners consider summer targets so we shall see if the London club do tie him down to a pre-contract agreement.
