REPORT: Arsenal Have ‘Asked For Information’ About Signing 31M Rated Swiss Marksman

Arsenal are one of three Premier League teams that have “asked for information” about Red Bull Salzburg striker Noah Okafor, according to TMW.

The Italian website claims that the Swiss international is attracting interest from the Gunners, Chelsea and West Ham after some impressive performances in the Champions League this season.

Okafor is believed to be valued at around €35m (£31m) by Salzburg, which is a figure that is unlikely to put off Mike Arteta’s side if they choose to go ahead with a move for the player in January.

The 22-year-old has played almost exclusively as a centre-forward this campaign but he has also been regularly deployed on the left-hand side of a front three.

That means Okafor could well be signed as potential cover for Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk but the Ukrainian international is likely to cost in excess of €65m (£57m).
