Arsenal and Newcastle have “asked for information” about signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Il Messaggero.
The Rome-based publication claims that both clubs have made contact to enquire after the Serbian international but the player is only interested in teams playing in the Champions League:

Milinkovic-Savic is likely to be under consideration if the Gunners decide against making a move for Youri Tielemans. The Belgian is expected to be available for around £25m this summer but there have been reports that Mikel Arteta’s side have cooled their interest in the player.
In contrast, Milinkovic-Savic could cost a lot more, with Lazio said to be looking for a between €55m (£47.2m) and €60m (£51.5m) for the 27-year-old.
As things stand, though, it doesn’t appear as if Milinkovic-Savic is interested in a switch to Arsenal anyway. Bizarrely, Il Messaggero claim that Manchester United are the “favourites” to secure his signature, even though they will also be playing in the Europa League next season, so we shall see how this story develops.
