Arsenal have had an offer rejected for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to reports in the UK.

The Gunners are believed to have offered £35m for the American international, only to have their bid knocked back by the Bundesliga club.

Liverpool are said to have offered £45m for Pulisic, although it is not known whether the Reds are close to signing the midfielder. Local media on Merseyside say that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is not looking to sign the American in January.

It all paints a pretty confusing picture of what is going on. Reports in Germany say that Chelsea are the team who are leading the race for the 20-year-old, with a move set to take place next summer.

It had been suggested that Dortmund were looking for at least £70m for Pulisic, with the winger unwilling to sign a new contract. The midfielder’s current deal has eighteen months left to run.
