Bundesliga star will choose Chelsea over Arsenal this January according to reports from Germany

Arsenal will miss out on Leon Bailey this January as the 21-year-old would prefer a move to Chelsea, according to reports. 

The Bayer Leverkusen winger has heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal and Chelsea just two of a handful of clubs believed the chasing the 21-year-old.


Bailey scored 12 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for the German side last term, alerting a number of Europe’s biggest clubs to his talents.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is understood to still be keen on bringing him to The Emirates after Christmas, however reports from Germany suggest Bailey will turn down any offers from the Gunners in order to force a move through to Chelsea.

Fussball Transfers report the Jamaican international wants to move to the Premier League, with his preferred destination being Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool and Manchester United are also understood to be interested in the youngster, as are Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga champions were reported to have made an huge £53 million bid in June for Bailey, and may re-enter the race for his signature after the new year.
