Representatives from Sampdoria have met with officials from Arsenal and Tottenham to talk about signing Joachim Andersen, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Italian website reports that sporting director Carlos Osti, director Antonio Romei and lawyer Paolo Busardo all travelled to the UK to hold discussions with interested clubs.
Manchester United were also said to be interested in the 22-year-old but it seems only the two London clubs are in the mix currently.
It also believed that Gunners scouts have been present in recent Sampdoria games to have a look at Andersen while Spurs senior scout Ian Broomfield was spotted alongside Busardo when the Serie A side played Torino earlier this month.
The Denmark Under 21 international moved to Italy from FC Twente in the summer of 2017 but was mainly used as a substitute last campaign.
He broke into the first-team in April and he has become a regular starter at the start of this season, playing the full 90 minutes in all of Sampdoria’s matches.
