6. Manchester City
For the first time in what seems like forever, Manchester City have come away from a transfer window weaker than when it opened.
Pep Guardiola’s team have not conducted any inspiring business. Their only incoming signing was Maximo Perrone, who appears to be a signing for the future.
Perhaps most damningly, City’s best full back, Joao Cancelo, was allowed to move on loan to Bayern Munich with an option to buy, following reports of a falling out with Guardiola. He wasn’t replaced, either – could City be giving up on the league title this year?
