Podolski Set For Inter Loan Move?

Lukas Podolski has featured for Arsenal this season, but the German striker has been rumoured to be looking for a way out of the club in search of regular first team football, with Inter Milan the latest team to offer the player a loan move, according to Metro.

Arsene Wenger will be happy with the results at the weekend, as his side secured an important away victory at West Ham United. The Gunners have hence leapfrogged their city rivals, and are now looking to push on into the top spots. Chelsea could not manage more than a draw against a strong Southampton side, while Manchester United slipped up at Tottenham Hotspur, as Louis van Gaal’s side drew at White Hart Lane, also dropping points. Wenger will be delighted at the form displayed by Alexis Sanchez, who has been strong through his first campaign in the Arsenal squad. The striker has arguably been one of the most contributing players in the side, and has carried the burden of scoring and providing assists alike. Olivier Giroud has also showed glimpses of good form, but the Frenchman will have to keep performing well with Danny Welbeck in the wings for a first team spot.

Podolski has been a target for several clubs who have noticed the fact that the German international has been on the Arsenal bench several times. A move to Inter could be a good deal for both sides in January, with Podolski’s high wages a nice number to remove from the Arsenal wage-bill and his goal output a good addition to the Italian team.
